"The Pitch" Second Audition Information
There will be a second and final voice-overs audition for Male actors ONLY at
Shetler Studios,
939 8th Avenue (bet. 5th & 56th)
Room 409
Thursday August 7th
1pm - 3pm only
(Rm 409 is to the left as you come off the elevator). There will be signage posted.
We will be auditioning all Male actors from numbers #53 on who appeared but whom we were unable to see on July 17th. We regret that we will be unable to see any Female Actors (Please see below).
We have your headshots and your numbers from the sign-in sheet.
We will use the same script sides, i.e., the first three pages of dialog, or approximately 2 minutes, which we had actors read and record from on the 17th at Champions Studios.
There is a fuller explanation under "Additional Audition Information" on this website if you click the "Back" button.
Briefly though, as much as we want to audition the remaining Female actors, because of the overflow turn-out on July 17th, and the overwhelming ratio of Female actors over male actors, it is now simply no longer feasible to see any more actresses for the basically 2-3 female speaking parts in the script.
Over 180 actors showed up for some 9 speaking parts.
Those Female actors whom we have already selected from those auditioned, will be contacted in the very near future.
We are currently in the process of calling, visiting and interviewing Digital Recording Studios in Manhattan and will contact everyone M& F who has been selected as soon as our studio has been selected and a recording date and time locked in.
We feel it is absolutely vital to secure a suitable DAT/ProTools recording studio and engineer in Manhattan whom we can work with, and it is a process that doesn't involve any shortcuts.
As we realize that other gigs and commitments inevitably arise for actors, we will make sure that there will be as much time as possible from the point we notify you that you are chosen, for you to rehearse your lines, and the date we actually go into the recording studio.
We will try and stagger the call times for all the actors on the actual recording day which will run approximately six hours, to, as much as possible, keep the waiting period down to a minimum.
We will contact M & F actors at the same time. Any special directions in terms of delivery of the lines, special emphasis, etc, will be noted on the script copies we send or email you.
I do ask that if you have any important questions that you feel must be answered which aren't answered on this website, that you please DO NOT CALL, but only e-mail me. I will usually respond back via e-mail within 24 hours.

Once again we thank all of you for your patience and co-operation. We feel that when completed, that you'll agree that "The Pitch" will be a project that everyone, on both sides of the camera will be proud to have been part of.
As stated, everyone who ends up working on "The Pitch" will have their transportation reimbursed, will receive a screen credit, and of course, a copy of the completed short.
The final version will be sent to selected film festivals as well as make the rounds of agencies and production houses both in NY and LA.
